Nope, not like “Do, Re, Me…” (although now you are singing that lovely little ditty from The Sound of Music, aren’t you? 😳😬😂)
More like the prefix. With all of the hubbub about choosing a Word for the Year, my inner Rebel gets all wound up about having to choose just one and “for the whole year” 😒 So this year my Rebel and I have decided to focus on a bunch of words that are actually related to my Rebel….words that start with “Re” 🙌 Yep, this year is going to be about Rebeling, Restoring, Relaxing, Rejuvinating, and Reconnecting 🧡 According to Merriam-Webster (the online dictionary, cause I don’t know the person or persons), “Re” means: Again, Anew 🙌 Yeah, I’m liking that versatility 🤗 The last few years have been incredibly fast paced with so many new opportunities as well as so much new technology and changes on this planet, that I have been feeling OVERWHELMED 😫 I’ve noticed it with my family, friends, colleagues, clients, and strangers walking down the street 😲 Anxiety and stress related disorders are at an all time high 😫 My VOD (Voice of Doubt) loves when I let this shit get to me and am feeling overstimulated and overwhelmed 🙄 Fucking VOD 😝 So I’m demoting my doubt, taking back my power, and allowing more “do overs” in 2020. Instead of doing more and more “new” things, I am going to “Re” more. I’m going to do things “again” and like they were “anew” 🤔 When my daughter gets overwrought with not knowing how to do something right off the bat, I remind her that to do something well, you have to do it over and over again (practice) to get more competent at whatever it is that you want to do well (yes, you guessed it, she LOVES it when I say the word “practice” 😜). Yep, 2020 is the year of taking my own advice and walking my talk 👣 I’m going to “Re” the shit out of this year 👊 Are you ready to “Re” this year? Keep your eyes peeled for a little challenge that I’m going to share here in a couple of weeks….there will be opportunities for you to join me in the “Re” of 2020 😘
